About Me

I am a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in the state of Texas, a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC) in Montana, a Clinical Mental Health Counselor in Utah, a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) in Florida, and a certified Telehealth Counselor in Idaho. With over 15 years of experience in the mental health field, I have worked in a variety of settings, including college ministry, non profit, community mental health, psychiatric inpatient and outpatient, and private practice. I earned my Master of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Denver Seminary in 2016.

On a personal note, I understand the courage it takes to begin the healing process. Having grown up in a chaotic environment, I spent many years silently struggling with depression, anxiety, sadness, and fear. Outwardly, I appeared successful and duty-driven—maintaining good grades and a strong work ethic—while inwardly battling shame, inner turmoil, and a deep longing for rest.

 I began my own healing journey through counseling in my early 20s and. while the healing started back then it took me over 20 years to break free from the strongholds I was under. Therapy, Christian community, and choosing to trust God and His word over the old trauma narrative were the tools He used to sustain and break me out. It is only through the power of Jesus Christ that I was able to receive the healing He promised. While full healing won't happen on this side of Heaven, I believe its possible to live in freedom as we renew our minds, trust God, embrace what I like to call "the suck" of life, and walk with Him daily. 

Outside of therapy, I enjoy running, tending to my vegetable garden, and trying all the new things Montana has to offer (I'm originally from Texas :), and spending time with my husband and our sweet cats. God called us to Montana 4 years ago and it has been nothing but an adventure since we arrived! We are grateful for how He has used this time to shape our lives and teach us to follow His ways and timing.
